THE MISSION

The primary purpose of the role is to build up the composite production within our established Manufacturing department from scratch.

More specifically:

  • Support during the acquisition phase of the equipment for the composite structures production
  • Providing clear documentation: work instructions, process flows, reports
  • Internal exchange of knowledge with our design teams to optimise structure designs for manufacturing
  • Ensure a high and consistent quality of the manufactured components
  • Produce cost estimates / standard times for composite manufacturing processes
  • Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to reduce costs and production time

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE

Musts:

  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent education
  • Experience with automated composite manufacturing processes (AFP, ATL, Winding or similar)
  • Experience with composite machining
  • Profound knowledge about various composite production processes and materials
  • Experience with large scale composite series production
  • Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn
  • Driven to deliver and constantly push the boundaries
  • Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
  • Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Fluent English. German is highly preferred
