Roles

We are looking for passionate volunteers in the following areas:

  • Social media Interns
  • Content writing interns

Climax Community was founded with the mission of finding innovative software solutions in order to tackle the climate crisis and it is fundamental that our new interns support this goal. Through this role, you will have a chance to develop your climate change and sustainability knowledge and skills by working alongside our climate change experts in a tech-for-good startup. In addition, you will be able to apply concepts and strategies of your academic study in a live work environment.

We are looking for volunteers with a wide range of interests within the Climate Change sector including, but not limited to; climate change science, engineering, technology, law and policy, and movements for social change.

We are looking for Social Media Interns to take over our social media accounts and begin to create a following, whereas our Content Writing Interns will be writing articles in their area of interest.

Interns can be at any stage in their careers, including students.

Requirements: Social Media Intern

Essential:

  1. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  2. Good Understanding of social media KPIs
  3. Passionate about Climate Change
  4. Familiarity with design software (e.g. in order to make interesting and engaging instagram posts)
  5. Good Time- Management Skills
  6. Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  7. Highly creative

Desirable:

  • Understanding of using social media for brand awareness.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Interest in social movements and fundraising for a good cause.
  • Proficiency in another language is desirable but not necessary.

Requirements: Content writers

Essential:

  1. Excellent knowledge of a specific field relating to climate change, examples of disciplines include sciences and law and policy, however we are excited to hear from candidates from any relevant discipline.
  2. Passionate about Climate Change
  3. Excellent writing and communication skills.
  4. Good time-management and organisational skills.
  5. Strong research skills.

Desirable:

  • Qualification or training in a related field.
  • Experience of writing articles
  • Proficiency in another language is desirable but not necessary.

Vacancy Type

Full time, or part-time position. Potential for flexible hours and home-working. Internships can last from 6-12 weeks, dependent on availability of the candidate.
