Football is not just a game, it’s an integral part of British culture and a way of life.
For some, myself included, it is everything.
I am working with a disruptive mobile app who are looking to capitalise on the UK’s footy madness with a mobile app aimed at providing a more modern, and crucially – a more mobile – take on the football fantasy league – with a twist (obviously).
This is a very, very early-stage start-up – launched just over one month ago – and they’ve already raised 6 digits in funding. Crazy!
Startups all have their niches and way of lives, but this is a proper from the ground up position – so we need a hungry, passionate, and hopefully footy-mad, marketing and sales superstar who has the opportunity to come in to something at such an early stage, as a C-Suite member of the team as Chief Marketing Officer, go with the company through further funding rounds, and enjoy every step of the journey.
You don’t need to have buckets of experience, but you need to be an outstanding digital marketer, with relationships with relevant influencers, a strong grasp of how to stand out on social media, a great understanding of paid ads, SEO, you know, everything you’d expect an outstanding digital marketer to know and do – but with some relevance to football – or failing that, gambling, or another sport. But who prefers another sport to football?

To begin with, your salary will be modest, but will grow as the company grows, and I think the funding received in such a short space of time is a good indication of the potential this startup has – but talk to me, talk to them and you can judge for yourself. An equity stake will be available. The team currently consist of 6, based and working remotely, headquartered in Germany. Ideally, you’ll be based in Germany so you can regularly meet with the HQ but this is a primarily remote operation so happy to consider applicants worldwide.
