You will be part of a tech company revolutionizing the production of photography at scale. We work with brands across Europe and provide them the tools to simplify the production of professional visuals. Through our platform, businesses are able to instantly order a photoshoot across Europe and will receive their visuals within 48 hours.

We also provide the tools that our community of creatives needs to remove all potential roadblocks to them providing the best service possible. These include taking care of prospecting, booking, content hosting, post-production, invoicing, payments etc.

Our mission is to disrupt the way visual content is created... and we’re just getting started! To develop our activities in Germany, we look for a Business Development Manager based in Berlin, Germany.


Your role:

Identify and get in touch with new large account prospects (i.e. firms with recurring photography needs such as Airbnb, Vonovia, Delivery Hero, JLL ...) and understand their needs.

Identifying and closing sales opportunities through the entire sales cycle.

Follow-up with clients and build up long-term business relationships with them.

Build and lead a team to further develop activities in Germany. Defining hiring needs, recruiting and managing a team while creating a fun, inclusive, and safe work culture.

Your profile:

Comfortable living and working in accordance with Backbone’s values of respect, passion, innovation and customer centricity.

Energetic profiles willing to tackle a new challenge in a highly stimulating environment, with a high level of autonomy.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development/sales

You already managed a team in your prior experience and you are a clear communicator with ability to organize and manage your team

You have an entrepreneurial mindset: autonomous, dynamic, always looking for and proposing new ideas and solutions

You are disciplined in your approach to daily activity planning and goal setting.

You are conscientious and willing to service customers and develop business relationships.

You are a native German speaker.

Recruitment process:

Step 1 : 30’ minutes phone screen with Federico (Co-founder and CSO)

Step 2 : 1 hour interview with Dorian (Co-founder and CEO)

Step 3 : 1 hour on-site meeting in our Berlin office


Job type: Full-Time, competitive salary with a portion of variable and stock option plan

Language: Native German mandatory
