Do you want to develop the next generation of AI and machine-learning powered personal university application assistant for mobile? We are a young team from China, Italy, Spain, Greece and the UK. We are the official provider for the University of Glasgow’s HelloUofG app for marketing and recruiting its prospective applicants. Our vision is to become the ‘go to’ app for anyone who is looking to apply to study abroad.

Role: We are looking for experienced Backend Developers to help us to accelerate the delivery of our disruptive web service and mobile solution. Permanent role, immediate start, Monday-Friday 10:00-18:00
Essential:
- Equivalent 2:1 degree or above in Computer Science or related STEM subject.
- Experience using Amazon Web Services (e.g. S3, SNS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Lambda, ...)
- A good understanding of application layer protocols such as HTTP
- RESTful API development experience
- Experience using relational and nonrelational databases
- A strong will to learn and ability to problem-solve
- Able to work well as part of a team
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Javascript and HTML5
- A good understanding of other application layer protocols such as XMPP, RTMP
- Experienced in NodeJS backend development
- Comfortable using a Linux server and CLi
- Some knowledge about web scraping technology
