Arlo Europe , part of Verisure, is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate DIY Account Manager to drive the Arlo business into success in France.

  • The role will be part of a growing and talented South / West cluster structure while collaborating strongly with our central teams in Europe.
  • The role will be expected to impact quickly and develop as the business grows as management team is expecting Retail & DIY to be a key channel to keep the Arlo brand ahead of the strong growth curve that we are already on .
  • The DIY Account Manager in France will play a critical role creating substantial opportunities with strategic partners for the DIY business.

Strategic context and Value proposition:

  • Verisure is the leading provider of monitored security solutions in Europe. In 2019, we formed a strategic partnership with Arlo, a world leader in connected cameras.
  • Verisure acquired all rights to Arlo's European business, in particular, the exclusive distribution rights for Arlo branded camera products for all sales channels in Europe, including e-commerce and retail.

Additionally, Verisure is entering into a supply agreement with Arlo whereby we get access to the full portfolio and past and future innovation stream of Arlo camera products to sell through the Verisure direct or partner channels across all our countries.

Today, Verisure does not focus on e-commerce and retail channels.

Instead, we drive our core go to market channels: direct field sales, Alliances and telesales.

  • The acquisition of Arlo Europe now gives us a strong leadership position in these two emerging and important future emerging channels for our business.

Arlo Europe is present in 49 Countries and its expansion is continuing rapidly. The DIY Account Manager for Arlo Europe will support our growth in line with a strong and visionary Management that is creating a robust business plan for value creation.

Responsibilities:

  • The DIY Account Manager will be responsible for the effective management of all activities and responsibility associated with our Arlo retail business in France.
  • It is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to become a key member of a dynamic sales and marketing team supporting the Arlo business unit.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for end-to-end management of our Arlo portfolio. 
  • This includes but not is not limited to execution of category and SKU merchandising, promotions (including tactical and strategic planning), inventory (sales in and out), critical product launches, product strategy and marketing for the Italian region
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas. 
  • Top and bottom line
  • Full account and P&L ownership of DIY retail business
  • Collaborating and working closely with customer representatives to ensure successful partnerships
  • Fully understand the competitive environment within assigned accounts and develop the appropriate plans to the be category leader
  • Create proposals, negotiate agreements, and maintain a strong overall relationship with customers
  • Plan and prioritize sales calls and customer contact towards maximizing sales and achieving agreed business objectives
  • Full responsibility for quarterly marketing budgets and spends at channel and account level
  • Develop and leverage a presence within pre-defined channel accounts
  • Identify, develop and handle sales opportunities with both retailers and consumers
  • Weekly reporting and forecasting
  • Manage product, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
  • Maintain and develop existing and new partners through appropriate proposals and ethical sales methods, and meaningful internal liaison to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities, tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
  • Respond to and follow up sales inquiries by telephone, email and personal visits
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Interface with other departments, both internally and externally, as needed to support customer accounts and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Develop and maintain relevant knowledge and skills

Candidate profile

Experiences and Qualifications:

As result we are looking for a high potential / top performer individual who will combine relevant commercial experience with a proactive business mindset focused on driving value to the business.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic solution provider as well as an operational enabler.

Key Requirements:

  • 3 years' sales account management experience in Consumer Electronics retail is essential
  • Bachelors University / College degree is desired
  • Previous experience with home electronics and/or IOT related products is preferred
  • Demonstrable understanding of the French consumer markets
  • Strong account management skills with high regard for attention to detail and content management
  • Experience in the DIY channel is preferred
  • Experience with or At Leroy Merlin is very appreciated
  • Have worked previously in a non-direct model (with a disty & a disty sales team)
