Agricultural Scientist

The position 

Vultus is developing a world class solution to eliminate waste in farming. We are utilizing modern microservices architecture on cloud computing environment, to deploy our remote sensing and agronomy research finding. As a part of our research oriented development team, scope of this position is to aid in the development and implementation of remote sensing services to farming. The work will allow you to learn and expand skills within the mentioned areas. As an early member of the team, you will gain large amounts of freedom, thus, it is important that you have a high quality of work and are comfortable with responsibilities.

Responsibilities

•   Develop and improve existing precision agriculture services
•   Crop growth simulation
•   Download and analysis of remote sensing imagery
•   Validation and demonstration activities
•   Project management (15% - 20%)

Qualifications

•   Master degree in crop science, plant sciences or relevant field
•   Knowledgeable in crop modeling (preferable in cereals)
•   Programing skills (preferable with Python, R, MATLAB)
•   Excellent communication skills
•   Fluency in written and spoken English
•   Able to work with remote sensing & GIS software (meritorious)
•   Experience with big data processing (meritorious)
