Founded in 2009 with the arrival of the Louvre in Lens, Euralens is a major forum of stakeholders dedicated to shaping a metropolitan area in innovative ways. Our association has been part of the Artois Metropolitan Pole since January 1, 2022. Our goal is to collaboratively accelerate urban, economic, social, and cultural development in this region. Bringing together 150 municipalities and 650,000 residents, our area covers the Pas-de-Calais part of the Mining Basin, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Grand Forum includes local authorities, businesses, national corporations, high schools, cultural institutions, Lens Hospital, RC Lens football club, University of Artois, social housing providers, and more. We regularly convene to discuss territorial challenges, share projects, and debate strategic directions across diverse domains such as eco-responsibility, citizen participation, employment, culture, education, governance, and urban planning.
