VREEDA is striving to gradually build a real, participatory ecosystem in the sense of a cooperative "cross-industry" platform with partners from a wide range of sectors. IoT is much more than hardware, communication protocols, cloud infrastructure and user interfaces. Although these are the logical foundations for IoT, the potential lies in cross industry partnerships and ecosystems. However, the partnerships should be well thought out and the structure of the underlying ecosystem should be well considered. Wrong decisions – or no decisions at all - can have far-reaching consequences in the long run.
