In 2008 the team of Mursall Active Coating learnt about photo catalysis from its discoverer during a stay in Japan. The Austrian development team attempted to find a way to use photo catalysis in a coating system for glass surfaces. This system can erase fine and ultrafine dust from the air. Managing Director Robert Kummerer was joined by Daniel Mursall, from the traditional company "Mursall" in 2020. Their mission is to create healthy indoor air for their customers.
ACTIVE COATING is odorless and colorless and works only with the help
of light. This means that both artificial and natural light activates window panes to attract and dissolve
viruses and bacteria so that they can then simply be wiped away or vacuumed off.
