Healthcare costs and the need for preventive care are on the rise. At AfriMed we are developing digital products to improve healthcare quality, affordability and accessibility for developing economies in Sub Saharan Africa.

Healthcare providers and their workforce are overstretched in many countries. AfriMed has the potential to address these healthcare workforce issues and to achieve three major goals that are before the whole healthcare system:

• to provide better healthcare,
• Healthtech enables a more efficient and holistic healthcare system, with improved outcomes,
• and to lower costs significantly.

Our main objectives at AfriMed is to provide health care services from a distance using telecommunication technologies. These type or services are divided into four categories:

• Live video
• Store-and-forward
• Remote patient monitoring (RPM)
• Mobile health (mHealth)
