Rome-based SWITCH, a startup that optimises fleet operations and planning with AI, announced a pre-Seed investment round of €946k to build smarter and more sustainable cities through fleet operations.
The funding round, comprising a €728k equity investment and non-dilutive funding, saw participation from leading international VC investor, industry operators and technology research centres, including Magic Spectrum, EIT Urban Mobility, Berkeley Skydeck Europe Milano, NextSTEP, Spreentech Ventures, MobilityUP, and Apuliasoft Srl.
The startup has been accelerated by Berkeley Skydeck Europe, Milano, in MIND – Milano Innovation District.
“This achievement reflects the growing trust of our partners and new investors, who believe in our technology and our team” said Matteo Forte, CEO & Founder of SWITCH.
“At SWITCH, we are committed to building smarter and more sustainable cities by addressing key challenges like fleet optimization and strategic planning, demand forecasting, and operational efficiency. This investment will enable us to continue innovating and driving meaningful changes in mobility and logistics,” he adds.
Founded in 2022, SWITCH is developing AI-powered products to improve urban mobility and logistics. Its tools help make fleet operations and fleet planning smarter and more efficient.
SWITCH’s flagship solutions, Urban CoPilot and Urbiverse, leverage its proprietary AI Simulation Engine to deliver real-time fleet optimisation, demand forecasting, and strategic fleet planning tools.
SWITCH has successfully processed over 5 million trips across multiple countries, accurately forecasting mobility demand, improving operational efficiency, and providing data-driven insights to fleet operators, while at the same time further training the startup’s AI models.
In addition to serving fleet operators and fleet managers, SWITCH is actively partnering with tech companies building products in the mobility and logistics space through its AI Agent for demand prediction. Currently in testing with multiple companies and set to launch publicly in 2025, this technology enables seamless integration of AI-powered demand forecasting and simulation, helping partners enhance their solutions with precise, scalable predictive capabilities across all vehicle types and verticals.
The fundraising round will enable SWITCH to accelerate the development of its products and expand its impact across the mobility and logistics ecosystem. The resources raised will be used to further develop SWITCH’s technology, grow its commercial presence, and consolidate partnerships with mobility and logistics companies.
“AI makes mobility planning dynamic, data-driven, and precise, ensuring fleet resources are optimised and investments are made wisely,” added Matteo Forte.
“Scaling AI in mobility and logistics requires more than just strong algorithms—it demands access to high-quality data, cutting-edge research, and the right industry connections. Investors with deep networks in tech and mobility not only open doors to potential partners but also help us shape our go-to-market strategy,” he concluded.
