Padua-based Quindi raises €525k to accelerate development of its AI Production Copilot for smart manufacturing

Italian startup Quindi has announced the completion of the first tranche of a seed funding round, securing €525k to develop its AI Production Copilot.

The investment was led by Open Venture, a venture capital vehicle specialising in industrial innovation under the Open Advisory and ELIS Group ecosystem. The round also saw participation from Considi S.p.A, a consultancy focused on industrial operations. This funding positions Quindi to advance the development of its AI-powered Production Copilot, expand its team, and initiate its international expansion.

Fabio Oscari, CEO and co-founder of Quindi, highlighted the strategic value of the partnership with Open Venture: “The partnership between Quindi and Open Venture came about spontaneously, starting with an industrial acquaintance that produced a mutual and natural rapprochement. Quindi seeks for three fundamental characteristics in a partner: expertise, dialogue and vision. Open Venture’s professionals immediately demonstrated their capabilities, and the conversation with them was always aimed at creating value. Most of all, Open Venture shares our vision and ambition: to empower manufacturing companies with both strength and agility through technology, while always remembering that, at the core, alongside economic performance, are people and the environment.

The startup’s founding team, comprising CEO Fabio Oscari, CTO Simone Minto, COO Luca Barbazza, and Head of Growth Alberto Frison, brings expertise in AI, mechatronics, and production systems.

Founded in 2022, Quindi seeks to transform smart manufacturing with its Production Copilot, an advanced AI solution that integrates data from machines, orders, and staff to optimise production flows. By leveraging real-time data and proprietary algorithms, the platform enables companies to address production events, such as machinery anomalies or workforce absences. Operators receive targeted instructions to resolve issues, while production managers can reschedule workflows to minimise disruptions and waste.

This approach aligns with Industry 5.0 principles, combining operational efficiency with a human-centric and sustainable focus.

Quindi’s technology has already been implemented by manufacturers such as Bianchi Bicycles and EPTA Group. The funding from Open Venture will enable the company to refine its AI algorithms, enhance its data integration capabilities, and scale its operations. The funds will also support marketing efforts and Quindi’s planned entry into European and US markets by 2025. The startup expects to double its team by then, bringing together specialists in manufacturing, AI, and operations.

Innovation is part of Considi’s DNA, and Quindi is tangible proof of this,” emphasises
Gianni Dal Pozzo, founder and CEO of Considi S.p.A. “Our partnership has proven its success on the market: we draw on our respective competences to enable the transition of manufacturing companies towards Industry 5.0, putting people at the heart of industrial
processes and technology at their service. The entry of Open Venture in the capital of Quindi represents a further step in the joint path to become the reference point in Made in Italy technology consulting, supporting Italian companies to seize the opportunities offered by digital technologies.

Open Venture, represented on Quindi’s board by its president Virginia Filippi, also expressed confidence in the startup’s mission and impact: “Optimising processes by rethinking instructions based on accurate and organised data enables companies to reduce waste. In this sense, becoming a partner of Quindi allows us to make an impactful contribution, with a focus on organisations and people, but also with energy savings that translate into a positive impact on the environment.”

Quindi plans to close a second funding tranche by 2025 to further develop its position in smart manufacturing and digital transformation.
