What was the inspiration behind founding Trama, and how did the concept evolve during the early stages of the company?
Igor Demčák (Co-Founder & Head of Innovation) said: During my years as a trademark lawyer, I noticed how confusing the trademark registration process was for so many entrepreneurs. I saw that small businesses, in particular, were either avoiding it altogether or getting stuck with expensive, complex processes. That was something I wanted to change—to make trademark protection something that could empower businesses rather than hold them back.
Trama’s mission has always been to simplify brand protection through automation, streamlining the process and keeping costs at a fraction of current market prices. We focused on providing a service that is intuitive, fast, and transparent.
Over time, we continued to refine the idea based on real feedback from businesses, and that’s how Trama grew into what it is today—a company that helps businesses of any size protect their brands without legal complexities.
What has been the most significant challenge Trama faced in its early days, and how did you navigate through it?
Andrej Skok (Co-founder & Head of Product): One of the main challenges was establishing trust in a market dominated by established legal firms. People hesitated to adopt a new tech solution for something that had long been provided solely by traditional lawyers with costly fees.
To overcome this, we focused on demonstrating expertise by offering a free lawyer’s check to our clients, allowing them to understand the process before paying anything upfront. Transparency is key here, as we want businesses that choose to work with us to move forward with ease and confidence, having the necessary information every step of the way.

What are your key plans and goals for Trama’s future as you continue to scale and innovate?

We’re launching a new software platform that will enable business owners to monitor their brand across all key platforms: online marketplaces, social media, business registers, and domains. This platform will not only help businesses track their trademarks but also provide the tools to manage their entire brand portfolio in one place.
Unlike other platforms that mainly target big companies, we aim to offer a simpler, more effective solution, allowing smaller brands to focus on what truly matters—growing their business.
