French SaaS platform Solteo, designed for renewable energy installers, has secured €1.5 million in funding. The round included investments from Axeleo Capital, Kima Ventures, Campus Fund, and leading business angels from the solar and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Solteo aims to address challenges due to fragmented and time-consuming project management by providing a unified platform that streamlines operations—from technical studies to site management—allowing installers to focus on installations and advancing France’s solar energy transition.
“We wanted to do business in a meaningful sector. Solar energy was a natural choice: it makes an active contribution to the energy transition, and its potential for mass deployment makes it an essential driver of transformation,” explain the founders. “As engineers, we are convinced that these diffuse micro-solar power plants will form the basis of tomorrow’s energy management. It’s an exciting and far-reaching challenge that awaits us!”
Founded in 2023 by engineers Manon, Alexandre, and Kévin, Solteo emerged from a shared vision to tackle energy transition challenges. Their platform integrates administrative, technical, and financial tools, enabling installers to optimise workflows and reduce reliance on multiple software systems.
“Every minute we save them is precious time they can focus on what’s most important: installing panels and accelerating the development of solar power in France,” says Solteo co-founder Alexandre.
The startup launched its first administrative module in mid-2023 and has since supported over 10,000 projects across a network of 100+ users. With more than a dozen employees and plans to expand, Solteo is building a full-suite solution that will eventually include maintenance and financing features.
The company is also looking beyond software by co-founding Suntech, a Paris-based network fostering innovation and collaboration in renewable energy. Through its growing suite of services and partnerships, Solteo aims to become a central player in France’s solar industry, aligning its tools with the sector’s evolving needs.
Manon, Solteo’s CEO, said: “Solteo embodies the innovation needed to support France’s energy transition, enabling installers to focus on what’s essential: offering sustainable, profitable solutions.”
