  • Biota: Biota provides a biodiversity platform that enables corporations to measure and manage their environmental impact, helping businesses align operations with sustainability goals.

Distribution & Retail:

  • SkoneLabs: Addressing food waste in distribution, SkoneLabs uses smart sensors and AI for quality monitoring and shelf-life prediction, optimizing storage conditions to prevent spoilage in bulk handling and distribution centers.
  • CU Mehrweg GmbH: CU Mehrweg offers a “Reuse-as-a-Service” model for pre-filled food packaging, managing return logistics, cleaning, quality control, and data analysis for a comprehensive solution to support food manufacturers’ sustainable packaging efforts.

Customer Engagement:

  • QILEO: QILEO is a fintech app that provides ethical business accounts, promoting sustainable consumer choices and rewarding users for environmentally positive actions.
  • Greenworlder Engage SA: Greenworlder is a social media platform aimed at driving environmental and social change, making sustainability engaging and accessible by rewarding users for climate-positive actions.

What’s next?

The final judging will take place on January 30, 2025, in Dublin, where the winners of each category will be announced before an audience of industry experts, investors, and leaders in grocery retail. This next phase will be crucial in determining which of these standout companies will lead the way in reshaping the grocery retail industry.
