Dealflow.eu Community: Amplifying Funding Opportunities and Policy Influence for EU-Funded Innovators

In a bid to foster collaboration and engagement within the European innovation ecosystem, the Innovation Radar Bridge project has just launched the Dealflow.eu Slack Community.

Startups, policymakers, investors, EU-funded innovators, and other startup ecosystem stakeholders, can now sign up to join this free community. As we just launched a few moments ago, it will take a bit of time for the community and conversations to really take off, but we’re already excited to start engaging with you through this online community.

Led by EU-Startups and supported by Dealflow.eu and Dealroom, the Dealflow.eu Community serves as a link for innovators, investors, and policymakers to connect, collaborate, and drive action. With a mission to unlock the full potential of EU-funded research and innovation programmes, the Community aims to facilitate meaningful engagement and foster a high-growth environment for European startups and SMEs. The goal is to jumpstart actionable converstations and to provide Europe’s innovators and founders with more insights about funding oportunities as well as more transparency regarding startup/tech related policy issues.

Launched in the beginning of this year, the Innovation Radar Bridge project is committed to enhancing European investors’ awareness of potential investments in EU-funded Research and Innovation initiatives. Through a series of 10 curated events and two in-depth reports, the project aims to showcase opportunities within the EU-funded startup ecosystem. These efforts are geared towards creating actionable insights for EU policymakers and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to drive forward the market uptake of EU-funded innovations.

The recent events hosted by the project highlight its dedication to fostering dialogue and collaboration within the European innovation ecosystem. On April 16, the EU Innovation Catalyst event took place in Brussels, and brought together Europe’s policymakers, investors, innovators, and industry insiders to discuss the state of the startup ecosystem in Europe. The second event, Innovation Radar Bridge event took place on May 10 during the EU-Startups Summit in Malta, and focused on innovative strategies to tackle policy-related challenges and capitalise on opportunities shaping the European startup landscape.

These events provide a platform for networking and knowledge sharing and play a crucial role in the Innovation Radar Bridge project’s overall mission.

Looking ahead, the project is preparing to release its first thematic report, titled “Performance Evaluation of European Funding Schemes for Research and Innovation“, in October 2024 in Warsaw. The report will provide a comprehensive analysis of the impact of different European funding schemes on individual companies, comparing their contributions to economic growth and subsequent funding success. This open-access report will be disseminated through EU-Startups’ channels and partner networks and also, be available in the Slack Community.
