InsurTech Hub Munich, a renowned global collaboration platform driving the technological transformation of the insurance industry, has announced the opening of applications for its SCALE AI Innovation Programme. This initiative invites AI-focused startups to participate in integrating and scaling AI technology within the insurance sector strategically.
Launched in 2024, the SCALE AI Programme aims to move beyond proof-of-concepts to establish high-quality end-to-end processes. AI and technology experts, alongside insurance specialists from ITHM’s extensive network, will select the most promising startups to innovate in three critical areas:
- Customer experiences and service
- Optimizing insurance distribution
- Claims management and processing.
Miriam Hook, Managing Director at ITHM, emphasized the Programme’s comprehensive support for startups: “The Programme is expertly designed to fast track startups to success and offer them a suite of multi-step methodologies, concierge services, and excellent access to commercial opportunities through connections with key players in the insurance industry. We invite startups globally, including those from the DACH region, to join our Scale AI Innovation Programme. This is a significant opportunity to enter the German market and transform the insurance industry across its value chain.”
The Programme offers startups the chance to develop solutions for key challenges within the insurance value chain, such as accelerating claims processing, analyzing unstructured data, upskilling employees in AI, implementing AI in customer service, and using analytics to detect risks, fraud, or anomalies in claims, while also ensuring regulatory compliance.
What’s in it for you?
Selected startups will benefit from an industry-specific curriculum, networking opportunities with venture capitalists and other startups, and commercial opportunities with leading insurers and tech firms. Participants will receive highly personalized business development support, mentorship on industry challenges, and the chance to explore the German market.
Estefania Rodriguez Migliarini, Programme and Startups Relation Manager at ITHM, added: “Through personalized mentoring, coaching, and robust business development efforts, we aim to ensure that participating startups, whether from within the industry or cross-industry, can confidently address industry challenges and deliver solutions to enhance insurance operations.”
The Programme will be conducted in a hybrid format, with two in-person sessions: one in Munich in September and the Final Gala and ITHM Innovation Night in November. Startups interested in participating should apply by July 12, 2024, through this application form.
