Milan-based Guidoio picks up €700k pre-seed to digitize Italy’s driving school industry

Guidoio, a platform digitizing the driving school experience in Italy, announced its successful €700k pre-seed fundraising round led by 360 Capital, alongside with Growth Engine and Vesper Holding.

As part of its development strategy, this key milestone will allow the company to further develop customer excellence by refining operations and advancing their technology, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly journey for aspiring drivers.

“This pre-seed funding is a significant milestone for Guidoio. It’s a validation of our work and a step forward in our pursuit of reshaping driving education through our digital platform, focusing on the essentials: efficiency and a user- centric approach,” said Franz Uhl, co-founder of Guidoio.

“The support we’ve received is a crucial step in our journey. It enables us to deepen our relationship with all our stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are not just met but exceeded. This funding isn’t just about technology; it’s about people, partnerships, and delivering on our promise of excellence across all fronts,” commented Lorenzo Mannari, co-founder of Guidoio.

As of today many 18-24-year-olds face extended waiting times and high failure rate – 32% in the theoretical driving exam in Italy – creating a challenging and frustrating experience with traditional driving schools especially for these aspiring Gen-Z drivers.

Since its creation in 2022, Guidoio has dedicated itself to digitising and modernising the driving school experience in Italy, offering a seamless, fully digital platform for obtaining a driving license. The company has built a user-friendly app that addresses the urgent need for a personalized and quicker journey to obtaining a driving license.

Italian users are now joining their European neighbors in enjoying the benefits of online driving schools, thanks to Guidoio. This innovative app is revolutionizing the Italian market by providing a seamless one-stop solution for online enrollment, access to a comprehensive e-learning platform, and convenient booking for driving lessons.

“Guidoio is disrupting one of those sectors, the driving schools, which in Italy remains deeply analog and fragmented, with an innovative solution that is radically more efficient and less expensive. There are countries like France and Germany where digital driving schools have existed for many years, and the Italian market seems ready to make this leap. We are thrilled to support such a capable team like Guidoio’s!,” added Lucrezia, Partner at 360 Capital.
