EU-Startups Summit 2023: Networking Guide

On April 20-21, 2023, we will be welcoming you again to our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! This year, the event will be bigger and better than ever before and we’ll have lots of exciting speakers, panel discussions, networking activities, pitch competitions and much more. The EU-Startups Summit will gather over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors for two days of networking, inspiration and learning!

This year, we have an extra special focus on networking. With a dedicated networking area, a breakout zone and after-parties all planned, on top of a dedicated networking app, spaces to connect and opportunities to meet people from across the European startup ecosystem, the networking potential this year is huge!

Here, we highlight what you can expect:

EU-Startups Summit App

Powered by Grip, the EU-Startups Summit Networking App enables you to connect and meet with fellow participants, among which you’ll find investors, entrepreneurs, inspiring leaders and people on your same wavelength. The app is going to be your loyal companion and best friend over the two days of the EU-Startups Summit.

With it, you can interact, chat and meet with essential contacts seamlessly. Just download from the app store, set up your profile and get going (search ‘EU-Startups Summit’).

Once you’ve set up your profile, the advanced algorithms powered by AI suggest the profiles that are most relevant to you, helping you get to know the people that can make a difference in your entrepreneurial journey. With the matchmaking tool, you simply swipe left or right on the profiles that attract your attention and if there’s mutual interest, it’s a match! Then, you can chat directly in the app and set up face-to-face meetings. We suggest you meet at the designated networking area – you can simply book a table.

The app also provides the event programme and detailed information about all the sessions, speakers and exhibitors. You can get notifications and sync to your calendar as well.

Available on Android, IOS and desktop, the app will be ready 8 days prior to the Summit, so you can already get logged in and get going. Happy swiping!

PS: if you have any problems with the networking app login, please contact: [email protected]

Networking Space

On the left side of the Exhibition Hall, we’ll have a dedicated space for networking. Meet your connections from the EU-Startups Summit app here, and make those conversations count. The tables are all numbered to keep it simple.

Schedule your one-on-one sessions on the app and meet your connections at this designated area. In this area, you’ll also find different networking activities to help break the ice. On top of that, there is the Cloudworks Lounge, on the right side of the exhibition hall where you can recharge.

After Hours Networking

When things wrap up on the stage, we invite you to keep the conversation flowing at our after-hours networking events. These are the perfect chance to meet new people in a more relaxed style, explore new opportunities and connect over a drink.

At the end of Day 1, we’ll host the Official EU-Startups Networking Party at Safari Disco Club from 7pm onwards. Make sure to get there quickly as the first 500 drinks are provided courtesy of reesmarxGLOBAL, a boutique global talent acquisition and expansion firm specialising in new market entry and worldwide recruiting needs. Cheers!

At the close of Day 2, you then have the chance to send off the event with a drink at Cloudworks’ Rooftop After Party, taking place in the iconic Casa les Punxes on Avenida Diagonal from 6.30pm. Limited capacity for around 250 people is available for this exclusive evening of networking, drinks and delicious food in one of Barcelona’s most iconic buildings.

Breakout Zone

The beauty of meeting up in person is the chance to bounce ideas off one another and hear different perspectives and opinions. That’s why this year, we’ve set up a breakout zone.

This dedicated space can be found on the right side of the exhibition hall and will be hosting conversations that will inspire your next strategies and give you the chance to learn from other people’s experiences, pain points and gather useful tips and tricks.

The sessions are drop-in and include topics like pitching prep, social media strategy, storytelling guide and more. The breakout zone will also host speed networking activities! It’ll be taking place in the Exhibition Area and you can sign up via the App.
