Steven Bartlett’s $100 million Flight Story Fund takes off to back the next generation of European unicorns building a better tomorrow

Steven Bartlett, one of Europe’s most influential young entrepreneurs, has just launched a new $100 million (€92 million) fund with the aim to back the next generation of European unicorns who are innovating in high-growth and high-impact markets.

Whilst 2023 has begun with a degree of economic uncertainty after capital markets took a hit in 2022, the appetite for growing Europe’s startup community remains. Europe’s startups and innovative entrepreneurs are very much at the forefront of shaping the future of society – and they need funding and guidance in order to launch, grow and scale successfully.

Gathering an ‘A-Team’ of entrepreneurs and backers together, Steven Bartlett has launched Flight Story Fund to do just that – and it’s promising to make a big impact.

Fund details

  • The Flight Story Fund totals $100 million (€92 million)
  • It’ll target individual investments of $1 million – $10 million in high-growth companies in 6 categories: Blockchain, Biotech, Health & Wellbeing, Commerce, Technology and Space
  • Structured to be a successful private equity fund, providing expertise, funds and a network to businesses

Flight Story Fund is taking off with a mission to fuel the next generation of European unicorns. It’s earmarked especially for those emerging companies in a solid position to navigate the challenges of the next decade and looking for investment and expertise to scale. It’s backing innovation in rapidly emerging sectors, all leaving an impact on the future of society and the economy.

Steven Bartlett, who is an influencer, public speaker, author, podcast host, and one of Europe’s most recognisable young entrepreneurs is powering the fund alongside successful entrepreneurs. The aim is to give young businesses access to an inspiring network and expertise, leveraging Steven’s presence in the wider ecosystem.

The launch of Flight Story Fund marks the latest venture by this young entrepreneur, who has already proven himself a successful entrepreneur, influential thinker and impactful investor.

Steven Bartlett, founder of the Flight Story Fund comments: “Throughout the last decade, I developed an immense network of the most successful entrepreneurs in Europe. Flight Story Fund connects the founders to the investment and tools they need to catapult them through their growth trajectory to accelerate their timeline to Unicorn status.

I’ve been on the journey myself and now I am helping other skilled founders succeed in the same way. The launch of the Flight Story Fund is an invitation to Europe’s best entrepreneurs from Europe’s best companies – come and take flight with us.”

At the age of 27, Steven had IPO’d his social media company, Social Chain. He now has a growing network and online presence and is co-founder of Web3 development platform thirdweb and the innovative marketing and consulting company Flight Story. Companies receiving backing from Flight Story FUnd will therefore benefit from access to this network of people, processes and tech to help them become leaders in their respective markets.

The Flight Story Fund has a clear vision – to bring together the most successful entrepreneurs in Europe under one fund and combine their expertise, experience and capital to support the next cohort of great European entrepreneurs. As an additional value add, founders backed by the Fund will receive marketing and communications support from Flight Story – Steven’s marketing consultancy company.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Fund develops, and we’ll be looking out for those first investments to come rolling in.
