WeRoad Co-founder Erika De Santi will speak at next year’s EU-Startups Summit on April 20-21 in Barcelona

On April 20-21, 2023, we will be welcoming you again to our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona!

Next year, the event will be even bigger and better than in 2022 and we’ll have lots of exciting speakers, panel discussions, networking activities and more to unveil. We will gather over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors for two days of networking, inspiration and learning!

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Erika De Santi, Co-founder & International Expansion Director of WeRoad, will be joining us for a keynote speech!

Founded in 2017, WeRoad is a Milan-based startup specialising in group adventure travel for millennials. It’s providing a service tailored to a generation that is often finding themselves travelling solo – but looking for hyper-connected, personalised and fun experiences.

The Italian startup is one of Europe’s fastest-growing travel operators, with offices in Italy, Spain and the UK, recently launched in Germany and France.

This year the company hit €30 million in revenue, has raised about €19 million in total and is experiencing 3.5x growth vs 2019 levels. WeRoad is building the largest travel community in Europe – it has 1.5 million social media followers, making it the world’s #1 adventure travel social brand. To date, WeRoad has had over 55k bookings and about 65% of its customers rebook year on year, as it builds a strong community of ‘WeRoaders’.

During the summer, we chatted with Erika to learn more about the WeRoad journey and its belief in connecting people, culture and stories through traveltech.

Erika will join us in Barcelona in April to share a talk titled, Dealing with entrepreneurial challenges and bounce backs: Insights from growing Europe’s hottest adventure travel scaleup – where she will share insights into her entrepreneurial journey, WeRoad’s approach to inspiring a new generation of travel, and what’s next for this exciting startup.

Needless to say, it’ll be unmissable. Don’t forget to secure your ticket as soon as possible, and add this very special event to your calendar in 2023!
