Want to positively impact public health? Apply now for the 2023 NHS Market Access Accelerator! (Sponsored)

Protecting public health is a key concern across Europe, and startups and innovators are developing innovative solutions to help do it. Run by TheHill, the 2023 NHS Market Access Accelerator is now open for applications, aiming to scale pioneering tech that can improve patient outcomes and reduce pressure on medical staff.

The healthtech space is one of the most impactful and influential market verticals there are. With the potential to directly influence lives, healthtech innovators are at the forefront of creating new solutions, approaches and processes that can improve patient care while reducing pressure and burdens on frontline medical staff. While healthcare systems across the world are under considerable pressure at the moment, with funding issues and staff shortages leaving their mark, impactful tech is helping close the gap and keep healthcare as efficient as it should be.

The  2023 NHS Market Access Accelerator, organized by TheHill, an innovation catalyst embedded within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH), has now opened for applications. The accelerator fuels market access to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and encourages innovation to scale.

NHS Market Access Accelerator

The focus of this healthtech accelerator programme is to help, support and scale innovative technologies which can improve patient care and reduce pressure and burdens on frontline staff.

It provides participants with a unique opportunity to interact with experts in regulation, reimbursement, data management, procurement and evidence generation, as well as business support and accountability through dedicated mentors. Participants also get the opportunity to pitch to investors and NHS procurement experts, meet a wide range of TheHill’s community, take clinical advice on their product and get tailored design advice on the next steps for success.

TheHill Market Access Accelerator is a great opportunity for participants to learn about the different structures within the NHS and how decisions are made for the adoption of new technology within the different trusts, especially OUH. Its pool of highly qualified and experienced mentors will work alongside participants to offer one-to-one support and help them achieve their expectations of the programme through a stage-gate process.
