Helsinki-based Jobilla, which has been shaking up recruitment on a global scale, has announced a merger with Jobilla Nederland, as the firm levels up its position as a market leader and creates a new business unit called Jobilla Benelux BV.
The global employment market has been coming up against some challenges recently as our approaches to work and the skills we need have changed. Now, across industries, many companies struggle with employee acquisition as a talent shortage, coupled with rising employee expectations, increases pressure on hiring teams.
Jobilla: Disrupting talent acquisition
Founded in 2015, Jobilla has been aiming to bring recruiters, candidates and employers on the same page. It’s been growing fast and has just merged with its partner, Jobilla Nederland, to create a new business unit called Jobilla Benelux BV. The new subsidiary joins Jobilla Finland and Jobilla DACH GmbH to become the third fundamental pillar of the Jobilla Group.
The Finnish scaleup offers a recruitment marketing platform that utilizes social media and the best marketing strategies to help companies reach, attract, activate, and hire candidates – whether they are currently employed or not – in a way that’s optimized for the candidate and recruiter. Job seekers can apply for jobs via their phone and the recruiter can automatically categorize the applicant based on their potential for the position through Jobilla’s AI-powered candidate filtering. By analyzing up to 35 different metrics from the recruitment funnel, Jobilla wants to remove obstacles from the candidate’s path – one click at a time. The firm currently has over 4000 clients in 56 countries.
At the start of 2022, the company secured €8.25 million.
Jobilla Benelux
Jobilla Benelux CEO Selma Stevense-Bakker started as a solo entrepreneur of Jobilla in 2021 after learning about its innovative candidate-driven approach. In just 18 months she was able to grow Jobilla Nederland into a 14-person team that has grown over 500% in 2022, going from €200k in revenue to €1.3 million.
Jobilla CEO Henri Nordström: “We are very proud of the amazing work the team and Selma Stevense-Bakker have done in the Netherlands. We are also super happy to have Selma continue the journey with us as the CEO of Jobilla Benelux BV. Jobilla Benelux as our own unit within Jobilla Group means we will be able to invest strongly in growth in the Benelux region in the future. I’m extremely excited and confident that we are going to build an excellent future together!”
This merger will provide more resources for Jobilla Benelux BV as it shakes up recruitment processes, making it more candidate-centric.
Selma Stevense-Bakker, CEO of Jobilla Benelux BV: “I am so happy to be a part of the Jobilla family, and we are definitely going to make this big! This merger represents a successful partnership that demonstrates mutual trust, enthusiasm, and commitment to matching the best talent for our clients. We are ready and really look forward to this next chapter together. Thanks for this chance and the cooperation together.”
To date, Jobilla Benelux has carried out over 700 campaigns for companies such as Sligro Food Group, OAMKB, and Interzorg. Its white-label solution allows companies to use their own branding, utilize their own marketing teams without intermediaries, and have direct control over the candidate funnel, while still benefiting from the best candidate-driven recruitment practices that attract top talent.
