Birdhouse just launched the third edition of its pioneering Aging and Longevity Accelerator Program. The aim is to support innovation in the agetech sector, supporting impactful ventures addressing the needs of our ageing population.

One of Europe’s first accelerators dedicated to ageing and longevity, Birdhouse is on the hunt for startups making impactful developments in the agetech sector. The programme is now in its third year after having successful outcomes in previous years. Over 150 applications were received, 78% were on an international scale and 8 startups were selected.
The previous programs had contributions from renowned and inspiring agetech experts such as Geert Houben, Keren Atkin, Roeland Pelgrims, Dr Lorraine Morley, Alexandre Faure and Floris Venneman.
Addressing the needs of our generation
The reality is that our population is getting older. Along with the expected aches and pains in ageing bodies, there are different economic and social challenges arising. Government institutions, businesses, and research centers are all increasingly turning attention to this challenge and startups are offering some really interesting new ideas. Birdhouse’s accelerator program will help up-and-coming startups scale internationally.
The Aging and Longevity Accelerator Program gives startups the chance to grow and scale over a sixteen-week period. Participants will work with intensive guidance towards explosive growth through access to expertise, capital, and an incredibly valuable international network.

Over the course of the program, participants get all the support they need to take their agetech project on the fast track to success. This includes:

- personalized tracks
In addition, participants will have access to advisors with decades of experience as well as a matchmaking service to connect each startup with experts that will best help them grow. Alongside all of this, there is also the chance to have some fun, with different events, team building and fun activities included.
Each startup gets a group of 5 people from the Birdhouse network, consisting of a board of advisors. It means that each startup gets a tailored experience and the personal advice that makes the difference when trying to scale.
