Silicon Castles’ Startup Executive Academy had a great preview at this year’s EU-Startups Summit (Sponsored)

It’s been about a week since the Silicon Castles team returned to Salzburg, Austria, from this year’s EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. It was two days of inspiration, learning and networking with entrepreneurs, startup enthusiasts and investors from across Europe.

About 1,700 attendees came together to connect at this year’s in-person event, providing Silicon Castles with an excellent platform to showcase the company, its Startup Executive Academy, and to check out what new European Diamonds are out there just waiting to be mined and polished.

The Silicon Castles team were also able to take centre stage when they hosted the packed-out masterclass, ‘From the Idea to Global Success’. In this masterclass, Founder and CEO Andreas Spechtler, together with Catherine Ogilvie, Senior Marketing Advisor at Silicon Castles, and David Kinsella, General Counsel at Silicon Castles, provided attendees with great insights into how to scale a successful global tech company.

Andreas Spechtler got the ball rolling by introducing the ‘Tower for Success’ and demonstrating how to successfully build up a startup from the idea to global success. He then went on to share his expertise in selling on a global scale, and how sales management evolves as a startup grows.

Catherine Ogilvie brought her 30+ years of experience in global marketing and communications to the masterclass. She took a deep dive into how to put together a compelling and authentic company story that provides the essential backbone for a startup‘s communication strategy and messaging for both internal and external audiences.

Lastly, David Kinsella rounded off the masterclass by looking at the art of deal-making. He reflected that, ultimately, startups need to step up to the expectation that investors have – seeing real commercial licensing agreements to validate their investment. He illustrated how startups can ensure to generate solid revenues based on a four-step approach to contract management and properly organized contracts.

The masterclass also provided an excellent preview of what participants can expect at Silicon Castles’ Startup Executive Academy 2022 (SEA22). The SEA is an international Go-to-Market program for executives and founders of early-stage technology startups. The program aims to enable startups to accelerate their business by providing highly relevant and practical input delivered by an international world-class faculty from academia and business.

In addition, participants will meet for one-on-one sessions with the SEA faculty and get to know the SEA Circle, the alumni network with more than 50 former SEA participants.

The second stage of this year’s SEA22 will be a 5-unit online program including bi-weekly group work and online live sessions on additional highly relevant topics such as Deal Closing, Online Marketing, IP Generation, Strategic HR Processes & Recruiting as well as Leadership & People.
