Greentech Europe 2022 want to support gender-diverse greentech innovation – Applications are now open! (Sponsored)

Traditionally, women have been marginalised in tech spheres and their contributions silenced. Today, all-female founding teams currently receive less than 1% of funding. This needs to change, and fast.

Whilst women’s participation in tech development is beginning to rise in many sectors, one sector that’s still lagging behind is greentech. According to the OECD, women make up just 13% of environmental innovators. The gravity of the climate crisis, and the knowledge that women, will be disproportionately affected, begs the question; how can we solve the world’s biggest problems if we are excluding women’s voices from the conversation?

To tackle this head-on, Visa Foundation and Village Capital are excited to partner on the Greentech Europe 2022 Emerging Futures Initiative

Supporting gender-diverse greentech innovation, this initiative is dedicated to supporting gender diverse ventures creating sustainable economic, environmental and social solutions across Europe.
