Matt Oldham, Co-founder and CEO of Unizest, will speak at our EU-Startups Summit on May 12-13 in Barcelona!

On May 12-13, 2022, we’ll be hosting the 8th edition of our annual EU-Startups Summit in beautiful Barcelona! This year, the event is making the long-awaited return to being an in-person summit, and we’re so excited to see you all again! The 2-day event will bring you the incredible opportunity to connect and network with more than 1,600 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors from all over Europe, to learn from 70+ speakers, and to listen to educational and inspiring talks by internationally successful founders.

As the event draws closer, we’re excited to introduce our next speaker in this year’s awesome lineup: Matt Oldham, Co-founder and CEO of Unizest!

Matt has been working in Financial Services and Loyalty for over 25 years, with Affinion, Thomas Cook, GE Capital and was part of the strategy team that led the transformation of Airmiles to Avios (IAG). Prior to founding Unizest, he founded a successful Green Tech venture, distributing energy-saving products through major retailers, including Sainsburys. Matt is a Mentor at Barclays Fintech Accelerator – Techstars – and a non-executive Director of an established Payments business.

His latest venture, Unizest, was founded in London in 2020 and is making waves in the fintech arena. The Unizest app is an e-current account that can be opened anywhere in the world, designed to give workers and students a smoother start to their financial lives in the UK. The startup was launched with the recognition of the difficulties of opening a bank account when moving abroad. The aim of Unizest is to make life smoother.

With an extensive entrepreneurial career, Matt will join us in Barcelona to share his insights into the realities of being a founder, focusing on the mental health aspect to this trajectory. Matt will give a talk on our workshop stage about “Living my best startup life – and the realities of being a founder”. Mental health is a topic that every founder and budding entrepreneur should pay attention to, and we’re thrilled to welcome Matt to the stage to talk about it.
