Healx Co-Founder and CEO Tim Guilliams will speak at the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona on May 12-13!

May 12-13 marks the highly-awaited in-person return of the EU-Startups Summit! We can’t wait until we will be welcoming you to Barcelona to take part in an unmissable event, dedicated to Europe’s thriving startup community. Gathering over 1,500 participants from across Europe, the event will give you the chance to network and connect with investors, founders, and like-minded folk. You’ll be able to hear from Europe’s most successful players in the ecosystem and enjoy two days full of inspiration and innovation.

Joining our inspirational lineup is Healx Co-Founder and CEO Dr Tim Guilliams, who will give a keynote on “Accelerating growth for your startup – the Do’s and Don’t’s”.

Founded in 2014, Healx is one of Europe’s pioneering life sciences startups that’s bringing positive impacts to society as a whole. Tim co-founded the company with Dr David Brown, the co-inventor of one of the world’s most well-known drugs, Viagra. Based in the UK, Healx operates to accelerate the discovery and development of rare disease treatment, using AI-drive to drive impact for patients across the world. The startup offers a real chance to improve the lives of millions as it improves drug discovery with an ethical approach, for the thousands of rare diseases that currently don’t have treatments. To date, the startup has raised over €63 million and has a fast-growing team of over 130.

Dr Tim began his career as a scientist at the University of Cambridge, before moving into the entrepreneurial world. Bringing his rich scientific background into innovation, Tim is now a renowned European tech entrepreneur from the Cambridge Cluster and has had an inspiring story as co-founder and CEO of Healx. Among other accolades, he has been listed in The Telegraph’s Tech 100 in 2019,  In Vivo’s 30 Rising Leaders in the Life Sciences in 2020, and named as “One to Watch”  in The Telegraph’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders in 2020.

We can’t wait to welcome Dr Tim Guilliams to the main stage for his keynote speech that will explore insights in securing funding, growing a company, as well as using big data and AI to accelerate treatments for rare diseases.
