George Dunn (Webex by Cisco) will speak at our EU-Startups Summit on May 12-13 in Barcelona

On May 12-13 we’ll finally celebrate the in-person comeback of our annual EU-Startups Summit – connecting 1,600+ of Europe’s smartest founders, startup enthusiasts and investors! The 2-day event will provide great opportunities for networking, inspiration and learning, and we’ll also have an exciting pitch competition.

Today, we’re excited to share that George Dunn from Webex will speak at this year’s EU-Startups Summit!

George Dunn is the EMEAR collaboration SMB sales director at Webex – an innovative technology company offering industry-leading solutions in video-conferencing, team collaboration, calling, contact centre and devices. With Webex, startups can build stronger relationships, reach more customers, and hire the best talent. George has been at Cisco for 14 years, having started his career in then what was the newly acquired Webex business.

At the EU-Startups Summit, George will join us on the workshop stage to talk about the digital future, and how startups can navigate new ways of working.

Around the world, more and more businesses are switching to hybrid ways of working and startups and small businesses are leading the way in this trend. The flexibility of hybrid work has the potential to improve employee productivity, satisfaction, and retention. A hybrid team means that businesses can benefit from a wider and more diverse mix of people and skills; with the ability to now recruit remote talent from anywhere in the world. It also reduces costs – ideal for startups.

With fewer in-office workers, startups can scale down their office real estate footprint and perhaps look to relocate altogether to less expensive cities creating savings on rent, utility bills, travel expenses and equipment. And while the advantages are plenty it does not come without its challenges. A successful hybrid organization is built on robust collaboration infrastructure and the right investment in this technology can significantly improve competitiveness.

George’s talk on our workshop stage will equip every startup and small business with the knowledge of the right tools to help them not just survive but thrive in this new hybrid world. The talk will give every founder and leader the insights they need in order to successfully use remote and hybrid working as a competitive advantage.

If you’re planning to join us on May 12-13, make sure to secure your tickets now. You can also check out more information about the Summit on our dedicated event page.
