Data has a new home at the Applied Data Incubator in Berlin (Sponsored)

The Applied Data Incubator is a brand new six-month program based in the growing tech community of Berlin. Built on the experienced shoulders of Startup Colors, the Applied Data Incubator is dedicated to empowering first-time founders to innovate in ways they have always dreamed of.

Data is playing such a powerful role in business today and is set to only become stronger and more important in the future. The Applied Data Incubator has been created to supply data scientists with a knack for entrepreneurship with the tools they need to succeed.

The program is offering expert coaching and mentoring, free co-working space, and access to a growing supportive network. In addition, to make sure things run as smoothly as possible, up to €48k scholarship funding per team (equity-free!) is available – that should cover the rent, the bills and a fun weekend or two!

Sounds like something right up you’re street? The gateway to the incubator is the Applied Data Hackathon – so get your laptop out and get going! Kicking off on February 28, this is your chance to work with real-life data on real-life challenges – giving you the chance to make a difference from the get-go. You can also work on your own ideas, solving real business problems.

There are a ton of cool activities taking place that you don’t want to miss out on. The Applied Data Hackathon will begin on Feb 28, so make sure to register on TaiKai before then so you can take part. The Hackathon will run through to March 7 where startup teams will pitch live to an audience of over 200 guests.

What’s more – there are big prizes up for grabs! With power-ups from the established Data Natives, Europe’s biggest data science and AI event and Dataconomy – the largest media portal focused on data-driven technologies, you are in safe hands. Corporate partners include machine vision experts Vitronic and QuickMOVE, who convey where others cannot.

The hackathon is online and on-site, so you can pick what’s best for you. For those in Berlin, from March 3 it takes place in the very cool surroundings of Drivery Berlin – that place that has the car from ‘Back to the Future’ casually parked! For those that don’t have a startup team, fear not! There’s also the chance to register for a matchmaking service taking place on Feb 22. Both teams and individuals can decide after the hackathon if they are ready to take the leap and start their own venture.

Applied Data Incubator is funded by the European Union, European Social Fund and the State of Berlin. The first cohort joins at the start of April 2022!

P.s. If this is all too quick for you, the next cohort entering Applied Data Incubator begins in October 2022, so follow them on social or sign up for the newsletter on their website to keep in touch.
