On May 12-13, 2022, we’ll be hosting the 8th edition of our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! The exclusive 2-day in-person event is bringing you the opportunity to connect and network with more than 1,500 attendees from all over Europe, learn from around 70 expert speakers, and, listen to educational and inspiring talks with internationally successful founders. That’s not to mention the in-person return of our popular pitch competition!
Today, we’re excited to announce our next speaker: Janneke Niessen!
Janneke is a Founding Partner at CapitalT, serial entrepreneur, angel investor, board member and diversity advocate. She has started and exited two international tech companies, is a prominent board member for several organisations and is often called upon by the government for advice. Her expertise lies in the crossroads of technology, talent, investing and diversity.
CapitalT is an Amsterdam-based seed stage tech fund investing in European tech companies creating solutions for real-world problems through the use of AI or data. They look for companies with strong international potential and positive team cultures.
As the co-initiator of InspiringFifty, an initiative to raise the visibility of female role models, Janneke published The New Girl Code to inspire young girls to pursue careers in technology. Janneke is also one of the initiators of #Fundright, a self-imposed quota for venture capital investors to improve inclusion in the investment ecosystem. She has been named one of Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year, one of the 10 most prominent angel investors, Most Innovative Leader and EY Entrepreneur of the Year. She’s quite the superwoman!
At the Summit, Janneke will share her insights into how to build great startup teams – a fundamental to startup success, and a topic you certainly don’t want to miss. So, make sure to secure your ticket now!
We can’t wait to welcome you to this year’s summit as we make the long-awaited return to in-person events. In the meantime, more info on the event can be found here (we update this page pretty regularly, so keep a close eye 😉 )
