Berlin-based hospitality startup Raus secures seed funding to reinvent nature hospitality

The Berlin-based startup Raus was founded earlier this year and offers new opportunities to take a break from big city life. Founded by childhood friends Dr. Christopher Eilers, Johann Ahlers and Julian Trautwein, the Raus team has closed a low 7-digit seed financing round led by Speedinvest and joined by prominent business angels like the Tourlane founders Julian Stiefel and Julian Weselek.

The fresh capital, which has been invested pre-launch, provides the hospitality-tech startup with additional budget to support product and tech development and expansion, with the first getaways opening in Germany in 2021.

We all know city life is exciting, but it can also be stressful at times. Raus serves as a welcome escape from the seemingly endless demands and constant stimuli of modern life with perfectly simple cabins, close enough for a spontaneous getaway, far enough away to completely unwind.

Raus Co-founder Julian Trautwein stated: “We live in an always-on, always-available world and sometimes we simply need to escape. In fact, the number one thing that people value about vacations is the break from everyday duties. At Raus, we provide spaces where you are relieved from your to-do lists just a short trip away from your home. With the investment, we make breaks from everyday life seamlessly bookable whenever you need them. A regular refuge from urbanity.”

Along with a team of architects, hospitality experts, engineers and designers Raus will launch its first generation of sustainable, smart cabins this year. Designed to offer a break from the nine-to-five grind, the minimalist yet comfortable getaways and a fully digitized guest experience allows one to experience stress-free time outside of the city. Raus cabins are equipped with everything guests need for a comfortable stay. Thanks to the keyless entry system, guests check in and out by themselves.

Bookings will open within the next few weeks. People who register online at raus.life will be the first to know.
