Are you looking to raise a seed round? Then apply for Techcelerator’s ‘1M Investment Readiness Program’! (Sponsored)

Are you a tech startup from Romania or South-Eastern Europe, that is preparing to raise a seed round in the next 1-6 months? Then you should know about Techcelerator’s new ‘Investment Readiness Program’!

Techcelerator, the most active accelerator in Romania for technology startups, has just launched its ‘1M Investment Readiness Program’, a programme designed which prepares tech startups to attract seed investors and raise successive rounds of investments of up to €1 million.

Boosting startups in the CEE region

The 1M Investment Readiness Program will run over 3 bootcamps, from 8th – 27th July, 2021. It will include 10 workshops and practical sessions to develop and refine the fundraising process, validate the company valuation and align with the mindset and process followed by international investors. It will also end with a private pitching event on 27th July 2021, attended by the most active local and international investment funds partners focused on SEED investments.

Cristian Dascălu, Co-Founder of Techcelerator & Gapminder VC Partner, explained more about the programme: “Attracting SEED investments can be the most difficult part of successful international development. Consequently, we have developed the 1M Investment Readiness Program, together with our community of investors, to help startups prepare for higher rounds of investment. The founders will gain a complex understanding of the investment context, develop their fundraising skills and understand the strategies through which performing high-tech companies reach valuations of €100 million – €500 million in just a few years. Participants will interact directly with successful investors and founders to exchange ideas and learn from their experience. Techcelerator successfully continues its mission to consolidate the ecosystem of high-tech startups in Romania and the region”.

What can you expect?

The programme focuses exclusively on increasing the performance of investors to attract investment and provides startups with the framework and community of investors with whom they can improve their investment process and strategies. It is also implemented with the help of investment funds, founders of startups that have already raised investments, as well as with the help of business partners in the legal – investment fields.

Startups will benefit from direct advice from over 20 local and regional VC investors, experienced angel investors, the SeedBlink regional online investment platform, and successful business founders, with whom they will also have individual mentoring sessions, in addition to practical workshops.

The design of the programme makes it possible for startups to work on the preparation of their listing or fundraising documentation (specific pitch deck for fundraising, executive summary, investment memo, budgets and financial forecasts, business case, strategy price, risk management), together with professionals from the investors’ community.

It is comprised for 2 modules:

  • The “Company Valuation” module, where they will work with venture capital experts on company valuation and get direct access to the perspective of the investors present.
  • The “Startup Legal & VC Investments” module, developed together with the legal partner Stratulat Albulescu, where they will work with lawyers experienced in M&A and the preparation of documents and strategies specific to VC investments.

Through the programme’s investment partners (GapMinder VC, LAUNCHub Ventures and the online investment platform SeedBlink), participating companies will have the opportunity to get visibility and pitch their business ideas.

The 1M Investment Readiness Program is supported in Romania and Southeast Europe by Google for Startups and Google Romania, which offers the finalists mentoring sessions, resources to accelerate startups as well as €100K in Google Cloud credits.

To be eligible, applicants must be mature startups, with traction, that provide tech products and are highly motivated to scale internationally. They need to have a strong team, stable partnerships, and clients.
