Swedish logistics startup Sendify raises €5.3 million Series A funding to expand across Europe

Today Sendify, the Swedish based logtech company offering longtail logistics through a collaborative platform, has announced raising €5.3 million in a Series A round. Leading the investment is Rider Global (Forto and Voi), along with all existing investors including seed round lead Atlantic Labs (Soundcloud, GetYourGuide, Omio and Choco).

Founded in 2016, Sendify offers a logistics SaaS enabled marketplace, where small B2B businesses can book and manage their daily shipping. In 2020, Sendify raised its seed round of €1.7 million, led by the Berlin based seed investor Atlantic Labs, and has since then more than doubled their revenue.

“Sendify is an innovative force, within an industry which has been asleep for far too long. Bridging the gap between logistics and new technology, we are transforming long tail logistics – making it accessible, transparent and collaborative”, explained Fredrik Edeland, CEO and founder of Sendify.

The recent investment of €5.3 million comes from all previous investors, alongside new and recognised investors like Rider Global.

“We launched Rider Global with one mission — to help founders build iconic companies. At Rider Global, we aim to find hungry disruptors with global ambitions. Sendify is a perfect match in that regard, and we are very impressed with what the team has achieved so far” said Timur Boridko, Managing Partner at Rider Global.

The new injection of capital will primarily be allocated to an European expansion and further development of the platform. Germany is first out, followed by further markets.

“Germany is positioned as the center of trade and manufacturing in Europe, with an abundance of small and medium sized businesses. This makes Germany the perfect stepping stone for Sendify in our European expansion. We’ve recently launched our first operations in Germany and during this short time that has passed, we can confirm that the need of an innovative logistics platform for small businesses is very real”, said Fredrik Edeland, CEO and founder of Sendify.

He continued: “Over the next few years, we aim to establish Sendify as the number one logistics platform for small businesses to book and manage their shipping – in the larger perspective a partner to facilitate trade. We will continue to develop our platform to handle the complexity that arises when trying to build a user-friendly service for hundreds of thousands of companies in multiple markets. We will continue to drive innovation in how carriers work with smaller companies – where we only have only scratched the surface“.
