On the 28th-30th of April, we’re hosting the 7th edition of the EU-Startups Summit – this year as an online event. This 3-day event will give you the chance to (virtually) connect and network with over 1,500 participants, learn from around 70 expert speakers, listen to educational talks with internationally successful founders, and bite your nails through our exciting pitch competition.
Today we are excited to announce another cool speaker: Renaud Visage, co-founder of Eventbrite, Board Partner at Point Nine Capital, and angel investor. At the EU-Startups Summit, Renaud will join us to share his insights on growing Eventbrite into a billion dollar company and take us behind the scenes of his investment rationale.
You probably already knew that Renaud was one of the Eventbrite founders, a company which no doubt needs little introduction. Founded in 2006, this ‘unicorn’ company is the world’s leading events platforms, allowing anyone to create, share, find and attend events that fuel their passions. Renaud sits on the Board of Point Nine Capital too, helping startups to scale with seed funding, and has made investments as an angel investor into successful companies like Algolia, Meero, GitGuardian and more. Renaud additionally has engineering degrees from Cornell University (USA) and Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France), and interestingly started his career as an environmental consultant. It’s safe to say that Renaud certainly knows a thing or two about piloting an innovative leading company, and investing in up-and-coming startups.
At the EU-Startups Summit, Renaud will join us to share his experience of growing Eventbrite, his insights on the events industry post-COVID and what he looks for with his investments.
