Today, we are excited to re-announce Oscar Pierre, Co-founder and CEO of booming delivery service Glovo, as speaker at our upcoming EU-Startups Summit.
Oscar needs little introduction, but we can try. Just 28 years old, Oscar has acted as the CEO and founder of Glovo for about 6 years now, driving the growth of one of the world’s fastest growing on-demand delivery players. Steering the “Glovo ship” is no mean feat, as last year they averaged launching in a new city every 4 days, are now present in over 20 countries across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, and it seems they never cease to snap up funding for expansion. Unsurprisingly, Oscar is also certainly no stranger to growing a team that maintains company culture, with team numbers at around 2,000 people (and growing!).
With experience like this, we’re sure Oscar will have some interesting stories to share with us at the EU-Startups Summit. Oscar also joined us in 2018, and we’re excited to hear about all that has happened since then – including snapping up Series C, D and E with a total of over €600 million, and a few recent acquisitions.
