Do you have what it takes to become a real ethical hacker? (Sponsored)

Do you ever wonder what it’s like to be an ethical hacker? Is your brain getting cloudy from all the work-from-home boredom? Let’s play a game!

Ironhack is partnering up with Hackrocks, an educational gaming platform, to create “The Ironhack Challenge“. The challenge will be running from February 15-22, and every participant who passes the gamified test will get a 20% scholarship for the Cybersecurity Bootcamp at Ironhack. This course of study can enable you to start a career in the cybersecurity industry.

In this gamified challenge, the international tech school Ironhack has been hacked! But not to worry, you as a great (Iron)hacker have all it takes to help! 🙂

The challenge is divided into 3 different steps where each user will (hopefully) score some points while moving forward, or conversely, they will sacrifice some of them if they use some of the clues available.

Quest 1 – The clueless CEO: Ironhack has been hacked, but everything seems to indicate that the hackers took advantage of weak credentials. The Ironhack team has recovered the key file from one of their servers, but could you help recover the password?

Quest 2 – The purloined letter: The culprit stole the physical documents from the Ironhack office! The team found a piece of paper. It is missing a corner, but there seems to be a mysterious message. Do you dare to help?

Quest 3 – The chattering programmer: As your investigation progresses, you arrive at a website where the attacker has stored copies of the stolen documents. Of course, that website has strong authentication, which asks for credentials that are certainly not easy to guess.

Are you ready to accept the Ironhack Challenge? You better be, because there is no time to lose! You will have a week to solve 3 mysterious quests, and along the way you will find out what it’s like to be a real ethical hacker while having fun and shaking up your brain.

The ones to achieve a 60% or above of the scoring, will be eligible to get the 20% scholarship or other prizes at the Hackrocks platform. The challenge is suitable for beginners and won’t take you more than 3-5 hours to complete and submit your scoring.
