British proptech startup Movewise secures €660K from co-founders of Indeed.com, LoveFilm and VC Hambro Perks

UK proptech Movewise has announced landing over 660K funding from venture capital firm Hambro Perks, as well as the co-founder of Indeed.com, Paul Forster, and the co-founder of LoveFilm, Simon Franks. The new round brings the startup’s total funding to around 1.2 million, and will be used to further develop its platform.

Founded in 2018, Movewise uses deep technology to help property sellers get the best price for their property. Movewise states that on average, a single agent only sells 50% of houses they list so sellers are likely to need more than one. For a sole agency fee, the vendor is provided with the best local agents, who take care of the marketing, buyers and viewings. On the other side, Movewise provides independent advice, multi-agent process management and sales progression closing transactions.

Tom Scarborough, CEO, explained: “Selling the most valuable asset you’ve ever owned shouldn’t be left to luck. Movewise is here to professionalise property sales for everyone”.

So far the startup has been featured in prominent news and media like The Sunday Times, Express and Property Reporter, demonstrating their value proposition.

Nick Sharp, manager of the Hambro Perks Growth EIS Fund, commented: “They provide a core service that is a superior way to sell a property for everyone, and a scalable market position that can digitise property sales with any estate agent in the UK. This is a very exciting solution to a legacy industry.”
