Ghent-based Creative Therapy raises €700K to support physiotherapist with interactive tools

Ghent-based startup Creative Therapy has raised €700,000 in seed funding to bring their smart rehabilitation tools to the market. Various investors including Imec.Istart, an earlier WinWinner Campaign, KBC and some business angels are supporting the company. VLAIO, the Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship initiative, was also convinced by the growth potential of Creative Therapy and awarded extra subsidies in the form of a development project and a Baekeland – a full PhD scholarship partially subsidized by the Flemisch government, the Ghent University and Creative Therapy.

Founded in 2019, Creative Therapy is an interactive tool for rehabilitation therapy which combines traditional therapy-gear with an interactive online Platform. Creative Therapy strives to eliminate boredom by providing fun and motivating exergames.

Creative Therapy will use the fresh capital to provide strong scientific support to its clients and patients in collaboration with Ghent University and further implementation of the go-to-market strategy.

Earlier this year, Creative Therapy received CE medical class 1 certification for its new product called Matti. Next to the startup’s balance in pediatric- and neurorehabilitation solution, Matti also represents a new solution for sports rehabilitation.
