EU-Startups Summit: The future of HR – a panel discussion with Jobbio, Zenjob and Jobbatical

On the 29th-30th April 2021, we’re hosting the 7th edition of the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. At our annual flagship event you’ll have the chance to connect with over 1,500 founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and the media, learn from 70+ expert speakers, take part in workshops with internationally successful founders, network (via our app!) and bite your nails through our exciting pitch competition.

Today we are excited to announce a new panel discussion during the EU-Startups Summit: “The future of HR: How will technologies influence the hiring process in the coming years?”

Times have certainly changed since the original job application process. Not so long ago, a face-to-face interview with a company’s human resources team was the go-to method for hiring a new team member. As companies become more global, digital and diverse, there are more complexities to take into consideration, such as video interviews for remote workers, using AI to sift through hundreds of CVs, and making sure that there is the right support in place for diverse applicants. How do we not just manage the challenges going forward, and but actually make hiring more efficient, inclusive and human?

Joining us for this chat will be 3 CEOs of companies that are disrupting the way we hire in Europe and beyond: Fritz Trott of ZenjobKaroli Hindriks of Jobbatical, and Stephen Quinn of Jobbio.

Jobbio, headquartered in Dublin, has revolutionised the hiring process with its careers marketplace that connects talent and companies directly, cost effectively and quickly. Hundreds of thousands of professionals use Jobbio each month, accessing roles posted by over 10,000 companies globally, including Slack, Airbnb and Ryanair. Job seekers can search and learn about companies, and create profiles to apply directly when the right company comes along. Companies get a complete hiring platform, including a branded profile, marketing, and applicant management. What’s more, Jobbio has a growing media and publisher partner programme for organisations who want to build their jobs business.

Zenjob, headquartered in Berlin, is matching students who need to financially support themselves with companies looking to fill part-time positions with enthusiastic young minds. Via its technology, it connects both sides in a very short time, offering an online booking tool and a unique matching method. Thanks to this approach, its platform has helped over 1100 companies post more than 12,000 jobs to over 15000 active students each month. The team also promotes its mantra as inspiration for users on its platform: stay Hungry, Helpful, Humble and Honest.

Jobbatical is on a mission to help tech companies relocate the top global talent – with zero hassle. It helps companies firstly physically relocate, and secondly onboard new team members from anywhere in the world, whilst saving time, cutting paperwork, and staying one step ahead of unexpected issues. As an example, some of its services include ‘done-for-you’ immigration and settling-in support. Thanks to Jobbatical, the whole process is smooth, both efficient and reliable, and means that when employees start working they are focused, on the ball and happy to get going.

If you’d like to listen to the discussion, make sure to secure your ticket to the EU Startups Summit 2021 in sunny Barcelona. Get inspired by our video below, or check out our information here (to be updated on a weekly basis).
