Finnish startup Reactored raises €220K and signs collaboration to inspire language learners globally

Finnish edtech startup Reactored is a language learning platform which enables individualized language learning for each student based on their personal learning style. The startup developing the solution, Rouhia Oy, has today announced signing an investment and cooperation agreement with TAAD tech holdings Oy and Sanako Oy. While the investment alone is 220K€, the startup states that cooperation with Sanako is expected to increase the revenue of both companies by €1 – €2 million in the next two years.

Reactored, founded in 2015, was developed by an ambitious team of Finnish specialists ranging from cognitive science enthusiasts to foreign language teachers. Its goal is simple and yet challenging: equal opportunities for all to learn any language wherever you are regardless of your learning style. This goal is based on the belief that there are no hopeless language learners, there are different language learners. The platform currently has a network of over 200 resellers and customers in over a hundred countries worldwide.

“The funding allows us to recruit new visionaries and to further develop Reactored: the main focus will be on scalability and developing new services for the global market.” explains Kari Savolainen, the CEO of Reactored.

In addition, the solution makes teachers’ lives easier by automating certain mundane tasks like grading exams and homework. It will also soon enable teachers to use their expertise outside that traditional environment. “We will expand the service to include corporate training in the near future”, Savolainen notes.

In addition, Reactored, which is based in the Finnish area of Hämeenlinna, has also garnered interest abroad. The cooperation contract with Sanako Oy will accelerate growth in international markets.
