On the 28th-29th of May 2020, we’re hosting the 7th edition of the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona – did you already secure your tickets? This 2-day event will give you the chance to meet over 1,500 participants (founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and media), learn from 70+ expert speakers, take part in workshops with internationally successful founders, network (via our app!) and bite your nails through our exciting pitch competition.
Today we are excited to announce a new speaker who knows a thing or two about how founders can create meaningful impact: David Goldberg, Founder of Founders Pledge. At the EU-Startups Summit, David will join us on the main stage to talk about “How can founders do more good in the world? Maximise your impact and be a catalyst for systematic change”.
Founders Pledge aims to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good. The organisation was founded by David in 2015, and has become a global movement that empowers entrepreneurs to find – and fund – solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. The Founders Pledge team believes that the value created by tech can also benefit those who need it most, and want to make impactful innovation the norm. With offices now in London, Berlin, New York and San Francisco, they have facilitated entrepreneurs to raise over €1.85 billion for charitable causes, with €393.46 million of those commitments fulfilled.
At the EU-Startups Summit, David will give actionable tips on how to strategize giving, including practical steps to deciding what your values are and which issues are most important to you (e.g. climate change, education or animal welfare?), methodologies for giving, how much to give and how to multiply your impact.
If you’d like to join us, there’s still time to secure your ticket to the EU Startups Summit 2020 in sunny Barcelona. Get inspired below by our video below, or check out our information here (to be updated on a weekly basis). See you there!
