Barcelona-based hospitality startup Amenitiz raises €620k seed round

Barcelona-based hospitality startup Amenitiz helps hotel and holiday rental owners create and manage their digital presence through its website builder, booking engine, channel manager, and SEO optimisation software. Founded in 2017, the startup just closed its first round of financing, a €620k seed round led by Otium Capital.

Also participating were several business angels from the travel industry such as Sebastien Venturini (CEO of Weekendesk), Antoine Giraud (COO Groupcorner), and Guillaume Rostand (CMO Liligo).

Commercially launched in June 2018, Amenitiz is a pioneer in offering website-builder technology specifically for the hospitality industry. The startup also supports hotel and holiday rentals owners in managing their online presence and distribution channels.

“After a very strong first year and gaining over 300 clients, we are delighted to lean on renowned investors to accelerate our growth,” said Alexandre Guinefolleau, CEO & co-founder of Amenitiz. “This first round will allow us to reinforce our team with the addition of over 25 new employees and the opening of two new markets, Italy and the United Kingdom.”

Amenitiz allows hotel and holiday rentals owners to centralise all the digital needs of their property: the creation of an evolving website, daily updates, integrating a direct reservation system and connection to main online travel agents.

Only a year after its commercial launch, Amenitiz serves over 300 customers, from private villas in Greece to large hotel groups such as Pierre & Vacances in Spain. Following an incredibly positive response from the market, Amenitiz has recently started to offer new services with the launch of its very own PMS (Property Management Software), allowing owners to access a complete suite of tools to manage their daily operations.
