LearnWorlds is an e-learning platform that combines interactive video, e-book, and social features, allowing anyone to create enjoyable learning experiences. On its platform, anyone with something to teach can launch a profitable online school.
Founded in 2014 in Cyprus but now with its headquarters in London, LearnWorlds has announced its first investment of €1 million from Marathon Venture Capital. The financing will enable the startup to enhance its offerings to address the needs of large-scale online schools, corporates that want to educate their customers, and organizations looking for an easy to use learning platform to train their staff.
“Learning is the most effective, guaranteed and fulfilling way to change a life, and the future of learning is online,” said Panos Siozos, LearnWorlds CEO & co-founder. “LearnWorlds is a ‘Shopify for the knowledge economy’, helping instructors to monetize their skills by reaching vast new audiences and transforming the lives of millions of learners. Our team is laser-focused on the success of our customers. We decided to raise our first ever outside investment in order to move faster, increase our sales capacity and add features that will allow us to better serve large scale schools and enterprise customers.”
LearnWorlds has been growing rapidly, and already counts more than 1,000 customers in over 70 countries, ranging from solo edupreneurs to professional training organizations, large tech companies, and government agencies. More than half of its customers are based in the US.
