On May 2-3, we’re going to host the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. It will be the 6th edition of our annual flagship event – and with up to 1,200 startup founders and investors from across Europe also our biggest one so far!
Today we’re excited to announce another great speaker for this event. It’s Nilan Peiris, VP Growth at TransferWise.
The London-based unicorn TransferWise is one of Europe’s most successful fintechs, making it easy for people and businesses that travel, live and work internationally to transfer money across borders. With its simple money transfer platform and borderless accounts, it makes managing your money quick, easy and painless. TransferWise customers send €3.5 billion every month through the platform, and has attracted €360 million from investors such as VC firm Andreessen Horowitz and Sir Richard Branson since it was founded in 2011.
Nilan has been with the company since 2014, and is responsible for scaling teams effectively and managing the global expansion of product. Prior to TransferWise, Nilan was VP Growth at HouseTrip, in charge of scaling the company’s growth in the European market. He’s a real growth expert and also advises a number of early-stage startups on growth and getting traction.
At the EU-Startups Summit, Nilan will hold a keynote speech about how to generate and manage growth, and about his learnings while scaling TransferWise to one of the most successful startups in Europe.
