On May 2-3, we’re going to host the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. It will be the 6th edition of our annual flagship event – and with up to 1,200 startup founders and investors from across Europe also our biggest one so far!
Today we’re excited to announce another great speaker for this event. It is Michael Cassau, the founder and CEO of Grover.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Berlin, Grover brings the freedom of renting to consumer electronics – making technology accessible to everyone, by enabling people to subscribe to tech products monthly instead of buying them. Michael Cassau and his team were already able to secure over €60 million in funding. In 2018, they actually raised one of Europe’s biggest Series A rounds that year with €37 million. Last week they announced the raise of another €20 million in dept financing from Eiffel Investment Group.
Due to this huge backing and thanks to big partnerships with EU’s biggest Electronics retailers including MediaMarkt Saturn, Grover is on the best way to fulfill the vision of bringing more value to people’s lives by enabling them to access and use tech flexibly instead of committing to buying it. The young company today already employs an international team of over 60 people. Grover CEO Michael Cassau has a background as an Investment Professional at Goldman Sachs and was Managing Director at Rocket Internet between 2014 and 2015.
At the EU-Startups Summit, Michael will hold a keynote speech about “How to successfully partner with retail giants. The Story of Grover and MediaMarkt Saturn“.
