Airbnb management startup GuestReady acquires Oporto City Flats and We Stay In Paris

London-based GuestReady, a startup that manages short-term rentals for companies like Airbnb, has announced two new acquisitions in Portugal and France. It has acquired Oporto City Flats, the leading short-term rental operator in Northern Portugal, and will also take over the portfolio of French Airbnb manager We Stay In Paris. The deals will add 100 new homes to GuestReady’s portfolio, bringing the company’s property list to over 1,000.

Airbnb and similar companies such as Booking.com and Homeaway are increasingly using short-term rental management companies like GuestReady to take care of their properties. GuestReady uses technology to streamline and automate processes in short-term lettings for guests and hosts. The startup offers hosts 24/7 support for guest communication, personalised welcomes, concierge services during guest stays, hotel quality linen and towels, and other amenities. This high level of service increases the chance for positive reviews and secures the long-term success of properties.

Founded in 2016, the acquisitions will help GuestReady to cement its position among the top three globally leading Airbnb management companies. GuestReady is present in six countries across Europe and Asia, providing short-term rental management services to hosts in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Paris, Cannes, Porto, Lisbon, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong. The company is currently in talks of expanding operations to other markets.

Miguel Martins dos Santos, co-founder and general manager of Oporto City Flats, said: “We built a strong business over the last years but reached a level where technology became the limiting factor to scale further. We are impressed by GuestReady’s technology that allows the business to scale rapidly while increasing guest ratings and returns for property owners. We look forward to assisting GuestReady in Portugal to guarantee continuity and to bring new properties on board.”

Grégoire Benoit, Co-Founder of We Stay In Paris, added: “We engaged with several players in the process of finding a solution for our owners. In the end, we chose GuestReady as they are the industry leaders in terms of service quality. Also, we really liked their team and are looking forward to seeing our portfolio of premium homes thrive under the GuestReady brand.”
