On May 2-3, we’re going to host the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. It will be the 6th edition of our annual flagship event – and with up to 1,200 startup founders and investors from across Europe also our biggest one so far!
Today we’re excited to announce our 4th speaker for next year’s event. It is the founder and CEO of Adblock Plus (eyeo), Till Faida!
Founded in 2011 in Cologne, Adblock Plus (eyeo) is the world’s most popular browser extension and most used ad blocking solution. Adblock Plus, which was downloaded over 1 billion times so far, provides users more control over their surfing experience. Beyond that, the company builds software that encourages positive, informative advertising, and privacy protection practices. Today, the software company already employs a team of about 130 people. In 2017, Adblock Plus (eyeo) acquired the popular micropayments service Flattr. According to a recent speech of Tim Schumacher, an early investor in the company, Adblock Plus (eyeo) today already does about €40 million in revenue and roughly €25 million in profits. Impressive!
