Industrial IoT startup Sensolus raises €2.75 million to grow beyond European borders

The Ghent-based IoT startup Sensolus today announced that by the end of September, Capricorn ICT Arkiv and Quest for Growth invested about €2.75 million in the business. The funding round was also joined by an unnamed angel investor with expertise in international market expansion.

Founded in 2013, Sensolus is known for developing Industrial Internet of Things tracking and monitoring systems named STICKNTRACK. This year Sensolus was already able to convince Airbus about the added value of their solution. Sensolus made sure that Airbus can follow up their recyclable transport packaging from aircraft components between various international manufacturing sites in real-time using the Sigfox network. Today, Sensolus’ clients primarily use the STICKNTRACK solutions to optimise their supply chains, to better monitor deliveries, and to schedule preventative maintenance.

This fresh capital will give Sensolus the capabilities to grow beyond European borders as well. As a startup with founders from strong technology companies, the investment ensures that the sales and business team can be strongly developed, without losing track of the technological evolutions taking place in the IoT landscape.
